Beans II

Sometimes inspiration strikes at the most unexpected moments—like when I look at a plate of food. It was the sight of ordinary beans that gave me the impulse to start painting. I was fascinated by how the shapes intertwined and the energy they carried. I wanted to transfer that simple joy and the playfulness of the colors onto the canvas.

The result is this abstraction, where a yellow circle shines against a rich green background, with orange and red lines racing across it. My "Beans" are proof to me that art doesn't always have to be complex or serious. Beauty and inspiration are lurking in the simplest things we have before our eyes every day. You just have to look—and for me, that is the purest joy.
