The Guard

The painting The Guard is a symbol of female solidarity and strength for me. A close friend of mine is currently going through a very terrifying and difficult time, but fortunately, she is not alone. We are a group of friends staying close to her, striving to be her support at every moment. I painted the colorful tangram birds as our collective protective squadron in a bright sky. Each of them represents one of us—we are her shield, her escort, and the certainty that she is not flying alone. I believe that one day, it will all end well and the clouds will vanish.
