President II
The painting President captures my interpretation of the prestigious porcelain service from Ateliér JM Lesov, which is used at Prague Castle. Although I have significantly simplified the shapes of the teapot and cups into geometric planes, their typical form remains intentionally recognizable. The background once again features the 14th-century tile motif, a pattern I borrowed from archaeological finds in Karlovy Vary. It is an encounter between high presidential elegance and medieval history within a single modern composition.
