Obelisk
In another piece from this series, I work with the Obelisk service from Ateliér JM Lesov. Its elongated, vertical shape with alternating stripes perfectly complements the rhythm of the background, which again features an abstracted motif of 14th-century historical tiling from Karlovy Vary. The gold accents on the teapot's conical lid correspond with the color of the background pattern, creating a solid visual unity. The dark reflection in the painting anchors the entire composition in space and adds a sense of monumentality.
