Night

The painting Night is one of my first works in the origami style. I am fascinated by cats as nocturnal creatures—I keep several of them in the Krkonoše Mountains. As a child, I was terrified of their courtship sounds, which resembled a crying child, but today I only hear the voice of nature. The blue color is key here—it is not just darkness, but a deep symbol of the landscape that absorbs and protects the cat. The purple origami silhouette of the cat thus quietly blends into this dreamlike blue space.
