The study Martin S. tells the story of our icon Martina Sáblíková. She started on a frozen pond like any other child. Her figure in tricolor literally cuts through the ice, while a pink bird watches over her as a symbol of freedom. It is that humility and incredible diligence that won the hearts of all Czechs. I wanted to capture the powerful moment when a world legend is born from everyday hard work in a village.
