Koi Fish

Even though I’ve been a fisherman for several years, I’ll be learning about fish for the rest of my life. I have an aquarium at home where I keep ornamental fish with varying success—after all, nobody is born an expert. I once dreamed of a wall-sized tank filled with Japanese Koi carps. Fortunately, that dream remained only on the canvas. This dark-toned origami fish glides through a misty void that feels more like an infinite surface than confined glass. It is a symbol of the freedom they would never have truly found in my room.
