Heaven, Hell, Paradise
oil on canvas
50 × 60 cm
2019
The painting Heaven, Hell, Paradise depicts a traditional childhood game, a type of "moving origami" originating from Japan. It is a symbol of my childhood—a time when television wasn't in every household, the internet didn't exist, and our "home phone" consisted of two tin cans connected by a string. It had its own unmistakable charm. Today, we live in this "amazing age" of technology, but this white paper fold against a gray background reminds us of the joy found in simple being and creating.
