Fright

They say the most beautiful view of the world is from the back of a horse, but for me, that couldn't be further from the truth. My childhood accident on a donkey left me with a lifelong trauma. Years later, when I finally mustered the courage to mount a horse in Český Krumlov, I was voluntarily back on the ground within ten seconds. This study captures that exact moment of panic. That yellow horse looks truly spooked in that geometry – the sharp edges of the tangram fit perfectly with that feeling when everything under you suddenly starts moving differently than you want. The grey blocks in the background only emphasize the sense of unease.
