Elephant Calf & Butterfly

Elephants are said to bring good luck, and to me, there is something incredibly sweet and endearing in their immense strength. Even though I haven’t witnessed a moment like this in the wild, I wanted to create it on canvas for myself—and for you.

I imagined a little elephant calf pausing mid-play just to say hello to a butterfly. The green space beneath them acts like a small stage, and the dreamy background gives the whole scene a touch of fantasy, as if the story is unfolding in a beautiful dream.

I love the contrast: the massive body and the fragile, light wings. For me, this painting is a reminder that even the biggest things in life are made of tiny, fleeting moments that are worth noticing.
