Day

The painting Day is one of my first origami works. While cats rule the night, for me, dogs represent the day. This orange origami silhouette is a dog, a companion that has been with me since childhood. Dogs are incredibly important to me because they sense my mood instantly—they know both joy and sadness. Mine even sleeps in bed with me; I know it’s not "correct," but I simply don't have the heart to kick him out. The bright blue background symbolizes the energy of the day, in which this loyal silhouette stands out.
