Courtship II

The study Courtship II captures the spring courtship of ducks. For me, spring is a time of hope, and there's something truly magical about it. Temperatures rise, the morning city air starts to smell different, and birds chirp. This painting was born from that specific atmosphere when life awakens and you can almost smell the lilacs about to bloom. It’s about that brief moment when everything starts moving again.
