Composition M2b

The painting Composition M2b is a color study of a Native American figure from the Life in Abstraction series. Inspired by Mondrian, I use primary colors to construct a tangram silhouette. I seek a balance between geometric order and cultural symbolism, between formal clarity and memory. It is an exploration of the tension between the modern and the primal, where pure form and color define a relationship to tradition in an abstract world.
