The painting Butterfly is one of my first origami works and captures a moment of birth and anticipation. Although its paper body already possesses a perfect geometric shape, the wings are currently in gray tones. They appear like clean, blank pages or a sketch that is still waiting for its true story. My butterfly is just maturing. It is a fragile silhouette silently gathering strength so it can begin to take on color and take flight into a world of vibrancy.
