Arthur the Hedgehogs
The painting Arthur the Hedgehogs is a realistic portrait of porcelain objects from Ateliér JM Lesov. These are functional salt and pepper shakers that I chose to capture on canvas in their pure, original form. Against the dark background, the contrast between the white porcelain and the details stands out—one hedgehog is accented with platinum, the other with gold. It is a celebration of craftsmanship where I didn't want to deconstruct reality, but simply give it the space to let its natural form shine.
