THE SUNSET SERIES

The Sunset series is a visual and emotional journey where I blend reality, abstraction, and imagination. Each painting captures the scene of a setting sun, but I don’t depict it in a traditionally romanticized way—instead, I work with geometric color transitions, bold silhouettes, and precise lines. Origami figures, whether black, gold, or silver, appear in the composition as enigmatic entities, their essence oscillating between illusion and reality.

Animals and people in these paintings are not just passive subjects; they often play the role of wanderers, dreamers, or storytellers. Cats watch over the city skyline, sleepwalkers move through a landscape between wakefulness and dreams, and instead of Musk’s so-called "star train," human figures drift across the sky. Black lines on some of the canvases bridge the colored layers, providing structural solidity while also acting as symbolic connectors between the sky, the earth, and human imagination.

This entire series is a study of light and composition, in which I do not shy away from surreal elements and symbolism. Colors here are not just an aesthetic choice; they carry deeper emotional meaning—alternating warm and cool tones create the impression of a shifting world that changes with each passing moment. In these paintings, reality merges with fiction, the sky becomes the stage for imaginary stories, and the sunset is not just the end of the day but a gateway to another realm where new rules of perception apply.
