the way I see it
This painting is a color study of a Native American figure, inspired by the principles of Neoplasticism and the work of Mondrian. The figure is built from tangram shapes and uses the primary colors of Plasticism – blue, red, and yellow. In this combination, I seek a balance between order and symbolism, between formal clarity and cultural memory.
The background is geometrically constructed according to the golden ratio. For me, it’s not just an aesthetic framework – it represents rhythm, carrying the memory of the landscape, while also echoing traditional patterns that people have been composing since ancient times to understand the world.
This study is a step toward a larger painting, where symbolic elements and deeper narrative will come into play. For now, I focus on pure form – exploring the relationships between color, shape, and the tension between the modern and the primal.
