Homage to Pop Art: playing with colours and shapes
Inspiration
The painting Homage II is part of the series Homage to Pop Art, which is inspired by the works of Andy Warhol. His pop art style led me to play with the colors and shapes of Tangram on different themes. In the painting Homage III. I am exploring how it reflects different types of boats such as houseboat, yacht and ferry. To express the boats I used a Tangram puzzle which consists of 7 geometric pieces. Many different shapes can be created from these.
